Common Purpose

Common Purpose is a global not-for-profit leadership development organisation working to develop people who can cross cultural, social, and institutional boundaries. Established as a charity in 1989, it runs leadership programmes worldwide focused on building agility, empathy, and purposeful leadership. Generation Earthshot is a climate leadership initiative brought to India for the first time in 2026, run alongside The Earthshot Prize, the world's leading environmental award. It convenes young changemakers to build leadership and storytelling skills while connecting them to a global network of climate innovators, funders, and businesses.

Role

A 4-day in-person climate leadership programme in Mumbai for young people aged 18-30, bringing together 100 emerging changemakers in climate action and sustainability alongside The Earthshot Prize's first visit to India.

Responsibilities

• Attend all 4 days (14 -17 November) of the programme in Mumbai, including all scheduled sessions and workshops
• Actively participate in networking sessions, panel discussions, and peer group activities
• Engage fully in self-discovery and reflection exercises tied to personal climate leadership goals
• Complete hands-on storytelling and content creation workshops on Day 4
• Represent their climate action or sustainability work authentically when connecting with experts, peers, and Earthshot Prize activities
• Attend The Earthshot Prize 2026 Awards Ceremony on the final evening

Requirements

• Aged 18-30, based in India
• Already active in climate action or sustainability work, on-the-ground or digital
• Open to storytellers across social media, visual arts, podcasts, fiction, journalism, film, and photography who cover climate work
• Visionary, ambitious change makers ready to amplify their impact
