Women's Interlink Foundation, set up in 1990, is a non-governmental organization working to support women, children, and communities facing social injustice and exploitation. It runs integrated programs across literacy, health care, nutrition, skill development, income generation, and shelter, with a focus on preventing trafficking and violence against vulnerable groups. The organization works through residential care homes and community projects in and around Kolkata, helping women and children rebuild their lives with dignity and self reliance.

Role

This role manages the financial operations of Women's Interlink Foundation, handling day to day accounting, budgeting, and compliance for the organization's government grant funded residential home projects and corpus account.

Responsibilities

• Monitor financial transactions and banking activities
• Handle financial administration for the organization
• Manage cash transactions and payments
• Maintain books of accounts and prepare financial reports
• Prepare budgets and financial statements for grant funded projects and the corpus account
• Administer payroll and process invoice and requisition payments
• Ensure compliance with taxation laws
• Advise on and monitor income and expenditure budgets
• Calculate year end accounts
• Liaise with managerial staff, colleagues, and donors or grant givers
• Work with the CAG auditor to ensure financial compliance
• Ensure timely release of grants and coordinate with district authorities for smooth processing

Requirements

• B.Com or M.Com degree
• Minimum age of 25 years
• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• Skilled in Advanced Excel, Tally, Gmail, GST filing, and ITR filing
• Strong bookkeeping and financial reporting skills
• Good communication skills to liaise with staff, donors, and auditors
