The Union (International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease)The Union (International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease)
The Union was set up in 1920 and works around the world to end the suffering caused by tuberculosis and lung disease. Its members include governments, non-government groups, doctors, researchers, frontline health workers, survivors and community organisations, all working on the same problem from different sides. The Union creates and shares knowledge that improves how TB is prevented, found, treated and cared for, and it helps turn that evidence into public health policy that actually reaches people. Its India office supports governments, civil society and international agencies across South-East Asia on TB prevention and care and on tobacco control, with a steady focus on people who are usually left out. - Liaise with local stakeholders on all screening activities.
- Coordinate with district and block level National TB Elimination Programme officials and primary healthcare teams.
- Follow the monitoring and evaluation plan and the implementation plan.
- Report any problem faced in following the screening protocol without delay.
