Role

As Manager Programs for Constitutional Values, you will lead the grant making relationship with partner organisations. These are groups that host fellowship programmes or work directly with youth in the community, helping them build a perspective on constitutional values that leads to real action. You will assess new partners, guide them through proposals and budgets, and stay with them through the full life of the grant.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scoping and programmatic due diligence of organisations.
• Review all proposals to make sure the required information is there, including the overall purpose and the journey of the organisation.
• Hold dialogue with partner organisations to understand the effects of their engagement.
• Guide organisations in preparing budgets, and support the finance team with budget review and financial due diligence where needed.
• Lead the grant making process for assigned organisations and make sure it follows the Foundation's guidelines and requirements.
• Manage the grant management system through the entire lifecycle of a grant.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 to 15 years of experience in the social sector.
• Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree is desirable.
• Experience working with youth using a rights based perspective and building leadership for action.
• Experience managing fellowship programmes is desirable.
• Genuine passion for constitutional values.
• A record of significant and long-lasting contributions in your area of work.
• Substantial knowledge of organisational and project management.
• High level of self-motivation, initiative and creativity.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and solve problems on your own or with others.
• Willingness to travel extensively for work.
