The project provides safe, caring, and development-focused support for young children while also strengthening support systems for their families and communities.

Role

The MIS Coordinator will manage project data collected through a mobile application used by field supervisors. This role is responsible for keeping data accurate and organized, spotting and fixing errors, preparing reports and dashboards, and supporting the team with data-based insights for better project decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the project data that supervisors collect through the mobile application.
  • Review, organise and analyse project data on a regular schedule.
  • Check that data is accurate, complete and consistent across records.
  • Verify data and find errors, missing entries and mismatches.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and project staff to get data corrected and confirmed.
  • Prepare MIS reports, data summaries, dashboards and other reports the project needs.
  • Keep MIS records up to date and document project data properly.
  • Turn data into clear insights that help the team monitor the project and make decisions.
  • Protect the confidentiality and security of project information.
  • Support the Project or Programme Coordinator in data based monitoring and review meetings.
  • Submit MIS reports on time as the project requires.
  • Take on other MIS and data tasks the organisation assigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Management or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in MIS, data management, data analysis or monitoring.
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Practical experience handling MIS systems and analysing programme data.
  • Ability to work with mobile based data collection applications.
  • Skill in data cleaning, validation and analysis.
  • Ability to prepare MIS reports and dashboards.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to spot data mismatches and resolve them in an orderly way.
  • Ability to manage several datasets at once and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in reading, writing and speaking Hindi.
  • Good reading and writing skills in English.
  • Experience in the NGO or development sector is preferred, as is experience with mobile data collection systems such as KoboToolbox, ODK or CommCare. Knowledge of Chhattisgarhi or the local language is an advantage.
