Synergie

Synergie works on financial inclusion and skills programmes that reach people who are usually left out of formal banking and digital services. Its teams work directly in neighbourhoods, running sessions that help people understand money, savings and the digital tools they now need every day. The work is done alongside community leaders, resident societies and local NGOs, so that training reaches the people who need it most. Dhan Samvaad is Synergie's financial and digital literacy programme in the Mumbai region. This role sits within Synergie's Dhan Samvaad project team, which runs community training sessions across Mumbai, Mumbai Suburban and Navi Mumbai.

Role

As Mobilizer cum Trainer you will bring people together for training and then run the sessions yourself. You will spend most of your time in the field, meeting community members, explaining what the programme offers, and teaching people how to handle money and digital tools with confidence. You will also keep the records that show the programme is reaching real people, entering attendance and beneficiary details on the project's MIS platform.

Responsibilities

• Mobilize community members and beneficiaries to attend training sessions.
• Conduct awareness sessions on financial literacy for community groups.
• Conduct digital literacy sessions covering smartphones and everyday digital applications.
• Coordinate with community leaders, resident societies, NGOs and other local stakeholders.
• Build trust with local groups so that sessions are well attended.
• Meet daily training and beneficiary targets set for the project.
• Maintain attendance registers and beneficiary records for every session.
• Prepare daily activity reports on field work.
• Upload and update project data on the MIS platform.
• Travel across Mumbai, Mumbai Suburban and Navi Mumbai for field activities.

Requirements

• Class 12 pass is the minimum qualification.
• A graduate degree is preferred.
• Freshers are welcome to apply.
• 0-2 years of experience in mobilization, training, sales, community development, CSR or NGO projects is an advantage.
• Good spoken communication, able to explain ideas simply to a group.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with community leaders and residents.
• Basic knowledge of smartphones and digital applications.
• Comfortable entering data on an MIS platform.
• Willing to work in a field-based role.
• Willing to travel regularly across Mumbai, Mumbai Suburban and Navi Mumbai.
• Able to keep accurate daily records and meet reporting deadlines.
• Comfortable working towards daily training and beneficiary targets.
