It works across urban services, health, sanitation and public finance management, so that people can get services from their local governments easily and see how those services work. Its main offering is DIGIT, a free and open platform that any government, city or partner can use to build its own solutions. Over 20 years, eGov has worked with more than 3 countries and 2,600 towns and cities across 16 states in India, and over 16 crore citizens have benefited from the platform. This role sits within eGov Foundation's product team, which builds and runs the digital health products that governments and health workers use every day.

Role

As Product Manager for Digital Health, you will set and carry out the product strategy for a group of public health products. You will work with engineers, designers, public health experts, healthcare providers, community organisations and government health authorities to build products that reach whole populations. You will also guide a small team of product managers and use real-world data to decide what to build next.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of digital health products that address health equity, disease prevention and access to care.
• Set the product strategy for public health problems and turn it into clear plans the team can build.
• Take products from idea through design, launch and scale.
• Mentor and grow a team of product managers, helping them do their best work.
• Work closely with designers, engineers and public health experts to shape each product.
• Partner with healthcare providers, community organisations and public health authorities to understand what they need.
• Run user research with frontline health workers and other users, and turn what you learn into product decisions.
• Prioritise the work, decide what comes first, and say no to what does not serve the mission.
• Build prototypes and test ideas before committing to full builds.
• Use data and analytics to measure how products perform in the real world.
• Track health outcomes and improve products based on what the numbers show.
• Work with government and commercial partners who build on top of the DIGIT platform.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of product management experience.
• Experience in healthcare, digital health or public health products.
• A track record of leading products from first idea all the way to launch.
• Experience managing a portfolio of products, not just a single product.
• Experience mentoring and developing other product managers.
• Strong understanding of health systems, disease surveillance and the daily challenges of frontline health workers.
• Skill in user research, product prioritisation and prototyping.
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as HL7 and FHIR.
• Experience with health technology systems, including electronic health records and health information exchanges.
• Comfort using data and analytics to make decisions and measure success.
• A genuine interest in solving deep health problems for underserved communities.
• Ability to work with many different groups at once, from engineers to government officials.
• Willingness to be based in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
