Quest Alliance

Quest Alliance is a not-for-profit organisation that helps young people build the skills they need for learning, work and life. It works with schools, Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), governments and community partners so that young people, especially those from under-served communities, can find good work or start their own businesses. It also trains teachers and trainers and helps institutes run these programs on their own over time.

Role

The Program Associate will help run Quest Alliance's youth program across ITIs in Kozhikode and nearby districts. You will work closely with ITI principals, trainers, placement officers, government departments and partner organisations so that activities happen on time and are done well. You will visit ITIs often, support trainers, help students with career guidance and job links, keep program data accurate and help ITIs take more ownership of the work. You will also share what you learn in the field with teams across Quest Alliance.

Responsibilities

• Run program activities in assigned ITIs from start to finish, and plan and track them with ITI and internal teams.
• Visit ITIs regularly to check session quality and how engaged students are.
• Support and mentor trainers so they can deliver the program and curriculum well.
• Help students through career guidance, hands-on learning and student-led activities.
• Work with placement and industry teams to open up job and self-employment paths for young people.
• Support activities on future skills, AI, green skills and entrepreneurship, and contribute to Women & Work activities in Women ITIs.
• Build strong working relationships with ITI staff, government departments and partner organisations, and take part in regular review meetings.
• Spot problems on the ground and work with the right people to solve them quickly.
• Organise Training of Trainers sessions and orientations, and follow up afterwards to see where trainers or institutes need more help.
• Collect and submit student, trainer and institute data on time, and keep program records accurate.
• Prepare program reports, case studies and success stories.
• Coordinate with internal teams such as Learning & Experience, M&E, Technology, Communications and Placement, and support pilots, research and planning.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in program implementation, preferably in education, skilling, livelihoods, youth development or the social sector.
• Experience working with schools or colleges, government departments, NGOs or community groups.
• Experience supporting programs across several centres or locations.
• Understanding of youth employability, career development, employment or self-employment.
• Strong coordination, communication and facilitation skills, and the ability to work well with many different partners.
• Ability to work with program data, documentation and reporting systems.
• Experience supporting training, mentoring or capacity-building work.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Kozhikode and nearby districts.
• Experience working with ITIs, vocational education or skilling programs.
• Experience with Women ITIs or Women & Work initiatives.
• Exposure to placement and industry engagement.
• Experience with digital or blended learning platforms.
• Understanding of the skilling, education and employment landscape in Kerala.
