Through the Solve Ninja Movement, Reap Benefit activates young people across India to take local action on environmental and governance issues rather than waiting for someone else to fix them. So far, the organisation has activated over 1.2 lakh Solve Ninjas across 18 states, enabled more than 1 lakh civic actions, and partnered with 5 government bodies across 4 states. Reap Benefit's goal is to activate 10 million citizens by 2030 to strengthen local self-governance and community participation.

Role

You will lead youth engagement, programme delivery, and stakeholder coordination on the ground in Jorhat, Assam. This is a field-facing role that brings together facilitation, event management, government partnerships, and team support to activate and strengthen networks of Solve Ninjas across schools, colleges, and communities in Assam.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with students and young adults from diverse backgrounds to build and nurture - Solve Ninja networks across schools, colleges, and communities
  • Facilitate hands-on, experiential workshops and problem-solving sessions with youth
  • Mentor young people in civic leadership, community action, and problem-solving
  • Support youth in identifying local civic and environmental issues and taking meaningful steps to address them
  • Plan and execute events ranging from small group sessions to large-scale youth outreach programmes
  • Handle end-to-end event logistics, stakeholder communication, and on-ground execution
  • Work with educational institutions, local partners, government officials, and community stakeholders to drive participation
  • Ensure timely delivery of programme goals and milestones
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, NGOs, community leaders, and other partners
  • Coordinate communication among project partners for smooth implementation
  • Oversee budgeting and financial planning for government projects and ensure responsible use of resources
  • Identify operational and programme challenges and put improvements in place
  • Collaborate with vertical leads and cross-functional teams to strengthen programme effectiveness
  • Support and guide team members and mentors to deliver quality engagement outcomes
  • Document programme activities, participant data, and impact systematically
  • Use Reap Benefit's tech platforms effectively during sessions and programme implementation

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in youth engagement, programme management, or community engagement, particularly in government-funded projects
  • Strong facilitation and mentoring skills, especially with youth and adolescents
  • Experience managing programmes or events end-to-end with solid planning and execution skills
  • Good understanding of how government systems and ecosystems work
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials, educational institutions, and community partners
  • Comfortable with hands-on, field-based work in fast-moving environments
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in English and Assamese; knowledge of Hindi or other regional languages is a plus
  • Based in Jorhat or willing to relocate
