Nimaya is a not-for-profit started in 2021 by Navya Nanda and Samyak Chakrabarty. It prepares young women who face social and economic barriers for a world of work that AI is changing fast. Nimaya works where employability meets AI readiness, so that the young women it trains, called Nimaya Naaris, are not pushed out by new technology but are ready to use it and lead with it. Working with partners such as the Government of India's IndiaAI Mission, Nimaya has already helped more than 10,000 Naaris across 5 states step into this new world of work through its flagship GenAI Ready Naari Program.

Role
This is not a routine operations job. As Program Manager you will own the results of the Guwahati program: the learner numbers, the field work, the partnerships, and the use of AI agents to make compliance and reporting simpler. You will be the person accountable for making 900 learner journeys actually happen, working closely with Ashoka University's Centre for Social and Behaviour Change.
Responsibilities
- Own the full delivery of the Guwahati program, including cohort planning, enrolment, batch scheduling, and the 900 learner target
- Build and manage partnerships with colleges and NGOs whose women students and beneficiaries the program will train
- Lead the on-ground field team, including the Field Manager, setting weekly priorities and checking the quality of delivery
- Coordinate with trainers, the internal team, and local stakeholders so every batch runs smoothly

Requirements
- 4 to 5 years of experience in program management, partnerships, or a similar strategic role, with development sector experience preferred
- Proven experience managing or overseeing field or operations teams, not only delivering work on your own
- Strong written and spoken communication, with real experience handling partners and stakeholders
- Good working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets, and comfort building reports and presentations from program data
- Familiarity with compliance, documentation, and structured reporting systems
- Strong communication in English and Hindi, and working proficiency in Assamese, which is essential
- Willingness to travel within Guwahati, with occasional travel for partner and program work
- Based in Guwahati, which is mandatory
Benefits
- Own a program that changes the future of 900 young women in Guwahati
- Work alongside Ashoka University's Centre for Social and Behaviour Change and the Government of India's IndiaAI Mission
- A leadership role covering field teams, partnerships, and program data from end to end
- Report directly to the Chief Operating Officer of Nimaya Foundation
