Project Coordinator in Uttarakhand | Think Equal | ₹9.13 LPA
Think Equal
Think Equal is a global nonprofit that brings social and emotional learning to young children in their earliest years. Its programme helps children aged three to six learn empathy, kindness, respect and equality through stories, play and simple daily activities. Think Equal works with governments so these lessons become part of how early learning centres already run, reaching children in communities that often miss out. This role sits within Think Equal's Uttarakhand programme, which works with the state's Department of Women Empowerment and Child Development (DWECD) to bring the programme to Anganwadi Centres.
Role
As Project Coordinator, you will help the Think Equal programme run well across Uttarakhand. You will work closely with the Programme Manager, the field team and DWECD to turn the state plan into real action at district and block level. You will coordinate field work, train and support government staff, keep an eye on quality, and spot problems early so they can be fixed. Most of all, you will help build a system where government staff can lead the training, monitoring and support on their own over time.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate regularly with DWECD and ICDS officials at district, block and sector level so the programme runs on time and well.
- Make sure Think Equal activities fit smoothly into the daily routine of Anganwadi Centres.
- Report to management on how the programme is going, raise risks or delays early, and suggest ways to solve them.
- Maintain accurate implementation records, schedules, meeting notes and programme documentation.
- Complete Think Equal's Master Trainer preparation and run training and refresher sessions for Anganwadi Workers, DWECD staff and government-nominated trainers.
- Train Supervisors and CDPOs so they can mentor Anganwadi Workers and check the quality of the work.
- Visit Anganwadi Centres across districts often to watch sessions, give on-site support and find where more help is needed.
- Observe training and Anganwadi Centre practice, identify areas requiring further support and use these insights to strengthen refresher training and mentoring.
- Support baseline and endline assessments, classroom observations, group discussions, surveys and data quality checks with DWECD and the Think Equal team.
- Keep clear records, schedules, meeting notes and reports, and use what you learn in the field to improve the programme.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in education, early childhood development or social-sector programme implementation.
- Experience working with government departments and coordinating work across district, block or sector-level systems.
- Experience in training, field monitoring, reporting and programme documentation.
- Strong skills in facilitation, building relationships, staying organised and solving problems.
- Current resident of Uttarakhand, able to travel regularly across programme districts.
- Professional working skill in Hindi and English.
- Knowing how ICDS, Anganwadi systems or early childhood programmes work is a plus.
Benefits
- Monthly pay of USD 800.
- Become a certified Think Equal Master Trainer.
- Work directly with state government teams and help shape a programme that lasts.
