Monk Prayogshala is a non-profit academic research organisation advancing interdisciplinary research in psychology, behavioural science, economics, sociology, and public policy through rigorous research, training, and collaboration.

Role

As a Research Author, you will lead and coordinate academic research projects across the social sciences. You will design research studies, prepare proposals, conduct literature reviews, analyse data, mentor research teams, and contribute to high-quality academic publications while collaborating with multidisciplinary researchers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop research proposals and conduct literature reviews.
  • Design, coordinate, and implement research studies.
  • Program behavioural experiments using OpenSesame, Wextor, or Inquisit where required.
  • Plan and manage multiple research projects simultaneously.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
  • Prepare manuscripts, technical reports, and academic publications.
  • Collaborate with Research Assistants, Interns, Statisticians, and Project Teams.
  • Maintain research documentation and ensure ethical research practices.
  • Support research automation, data management, and project monitoring.
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary research across psychology, sociology, economics, anthropology, gender studies, and public policy.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate, postgraduate, or PhD qualification in Psychology, Sociology, Economics, Anthropology, or a related discipline (or equivalent research experience).
  • 1–3 years of academic or applied research experience.
  • Strong knowledge of research methodology, statistics and qualitative research.
  • Experience with academic writing and research project management.
  • Working knowledge of SPSS or R.
  • Familiarity with Mendeley, Zotero, Google Scholar, PsycINFO, Springer, ScienceDirect, or similar research databases.
  • Excellent written and spoken English with good communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
