Azim Premji set up the Foundation in 2001, and over the years he has irrevocably donated most of his wealth to fund its philanthropic work. What began with school education has since grown to include health and livelihoods, with the Foundation working closely with government systems across the country's more disadvantaged regions. Its Grants team supports hundreds of non-profit organisations across India through multi-year funding, working on issues like disability, healthcare, gender equity, and community development, including urban programmes.

Role

This role leads urban programme implementation across 1 to 4 clusters in Bengaluru. The Resource Person supervises centre coordinators, builds their capacity, runs review meetings, and ensures smooth use of MIS systems in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support welfare rights, children, youth, and elderly centre coordinators
  • Visit each centre weekly to support operations and address issues
  • Interact with the community and gather feedback
  • Identify capacity building needs and create plans for each cluster
  • Train centre coordinators on key topics
  • Facilitate cluster level meetings and attend monthly city level review meetings
  • Participate in fortnightly, monthly, and quarterly partner meetings
  • Ensure staff use MIS systems effectively
  • Support rollout and stabilization of MIS systems in the field
  • Prepare reports and documents as required by the project

Requirements

  • Age between 25 and 40 years
  • At least 4 years of experience working in a civil society organisation in a programme role at block, district, zone, or ward level
  • Prior experience using MIS systems
  • Working knowledge of basic budgeting and reading utilisation certificates
  • Fluency in Kannada, Tamil, or Hindi, along with English
  • Owns a two wheeler and willing to travel extensively within the city every day
  • Strong communication and community engagement skills
  • Ability to supervise and build capacity in a team
