UMEED has been working with women from low-income communities of Hyderabad since 2014, building deep ground-level experience to create sustainable interventions for empowering women. Through FirstLeap, one of its flagship interventions, Umeed helps women become job-ready and places them in entry-level jobs, using a 3-bucket focus on skill building, mindset development, and access to exposure. The organisation aims to build the spirit of "Voice, Choice and Agency" in women, empowering them to take charge of their own lives while becoming proactive catalysts for sustainable change in their communities.

Role

The Senior Program Facilitator is a strong flagbearer of gender equality who loves to teach and help others grow. You will bridge the gap between the current skills and aptitude levels of women with local industry requirements, using the latest learning methodologies to help women deepen their understanding of self, unlock their potential, and build supportive communities of learning. Experience in NGO is a must.

Responsibilities

• Conduct need analysis to understand the base level of skills and mindset of beneficiaries
• Collaborate with industry clients to identify skills and other requirements
• Create customized content for the skill, mindset, and exposure tracks
• Build partnerships with other organizations to create/enhance the curriculum
• Facilitate engaging training sessions for beneficiaries
• Conduct field/digital exposure visits to partner organizations
• Assess the impact of trainings and implement the learnings
• Evolve training strategies by collecting and analysing feedback data
• Ensure compliance with Umeed's processes on documentation, reporting, and logistics

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in up-skilling programs/facilitation/teaching/livelihood trainings
• Experience in NGO/social sector work is mandatory
• Knowledge and passion for gender inequality and its impact on Indian communities
• Basic subject matter knowledge in teaching math, communicative English, and life skills
• Strong project management and facilitation skills
• Prior experience working in social sector/up-skilling programs, especially with women beneficiaries
• Bachelor's or Master's degree (in Social Work/Management/Development/Gender Studies) desirable, not essential
• Fluency in Telugu (must) and English, with good presentation skills
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and ability to operate with minimal guidance
