Project Tech4Dev builds and runs technology for organisations working on social change in India. Its platform Glific helps nonprofits talk to the communities they serve at scale, so that small teams can reach many more people without losing the personal touch. The work sits at the meeting point of good technology and real social impact, and it is built in the open with a community of users and contributors.

Role

This is a hands-on product leadership role. You will set the product vision and strategy, turn it into quarterly roadmaps, and ship them by working closely with engineering, customer success and support. You will stay ahead of what is happening in AI and in the wider product market, make the calls that set product direction, and bring simple, high quality technology to the social sector through Glific. It suits someone who enjoys taking a messy problem and turning it into a feature that is shipped, measured and actually used.

Responsibilities

• Lead the multi-year product strategy and an AI forward product vision.
• Think big about how NGOs succeed on Glific, and make their experience simpler through product and design thinking.
• Drive the product vision into reality, from discovery through launch, adoption and iteration.
• Define, track and improve product KPIs using analytics, experiments and user insights.
• Shape the product roadmap using customer research, consulting, usage data and business priorities.
• Partner closely with engineering to write clear requirements, make technical trade-offs and see work through to delivery.
• Prototype and test new ideas, including AI powered features, before full development begins.
• Design easy to use experiences through prototyping, usability testing and work across teams.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of software product management experience, with at least 3 years in SaaS platforms.
• Product leadership experience owning product vision, business and direction.
• A proven record of shipping software products end to end and owning the outcomes, from strategy and planning to execution and results.
• Hands-on technical ability to take part in engineering discussions and make informed trade-offs.
• A data-driven mindset, with experience defining KPIs, instrumenting features and using product analytics to make decisions.
• A working understanding of modern AI and LLM capabilities and their limits, and a clear point of view on where they add value in a product.
• Design thinking that can be turned into a prototype using AI, and the ability to design strategic user journeys.
• Experience in user research and turning feedback into product improvements.
• Excellent communication, including explaining technical ideas to people who are not technical.
• Ability to build customer relationships and give patient, empathetic product support.
• Preferred: experience in the social sector or with mission-driven organisations.
• Preferred: experience with chatbots, conversational products or Glific.
• Preferred: familiarity with open source products and their communities.
• Preferred: comfort building quick prototypes or writing light code to test ideas.
