Social Media Specialist in Bengaluru | Enfold Proactive Health Trust
Enfold Proactive Health TrustEnfold Proactive Health Trust
Enfold is a Bengaluru based organisation that works to prevent child sexual abuse and gender based violence in India. It runs personal safety education in schools, trains teachers, police, lawyers and health workers, and supports children and families through the legal process after abuse. It also studies how child protection laws work in practice, so that the systems meant to protect children actually do. Much of this work depends on reaching people directly, in language they understand and on the platforms they already use. This role sits within Enfold's communications and content function, which carries the organisation's work to the public through its website, social channels and campaigns.

Role
Enfold is looking for a Social Media Specialist to run its online presence end to end. You will plan what Enfold says on Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn and the website, design and edit the posters and videos that carry those messages, and talk with the people who respond. You will also watch how each post performs and use what you learn to make the next one better. It is a role for someone who cares about the subject and enjoys both the making and the measuring.
Responsibilities
- Manage Enfold's social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn and the website.
- Design and put into practice content strategies that match Enfold's goals and its audience.
- Engage with the online community by replying to comments, messages and discussions, and listen to wider conversations to build real connections.
- Work with the content team to develop new content formats, campaigns and styles.
- Design visual assets such as posters, banners and videos, shaped to what each platform needs.
- Create videos for Enfold's campaigns, promotional activities and documentation of fieldwork.
- Edit raw footage and strengthen the storytelling with sound, text overlays, transitions and other effects.
- Follow SEO and discoverability practices across all content, including hashtags, descriptions and keywords.
- Coordinate with internal teams so that social media timelines line up with new publications, events and campaigns.
- Build collaborations with people and organisations who share Enfold's values, to widen its reach.
- Support promotion, engagement and community building for Enfold's online programmes.
- Track social media metrics such as engagement, reach, impressions and conversions, and prepare periodic performance reports and dashboards for internal teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in content creation, social media management or a related field.
- Freshers with a strong portfolio are encouraged to apply.
- A portfolio of social media content, designs or videos you have made yourself.
- Working knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter) and LinkedIn, and how content behaves differently on each.
- Ability to design posters and banners and to edit video, including sound, text overlays and transitions.
- Understanding of SEO basics such as hashtags, keywords and descriptions.
- Comfort reading social media analytics and turning numbers into clear recommendations.
- Ability to keep brand guidelines consistent across visual and audio visual content.
- Strong written English and a clear, sensitive voice when writing for a public audience.
- Willingness to engage respectfully with an online community on difficult subjects.
- Ability to plan ahead and hold timelines alongside other teams.
- Comfort taking on additional responsibilities as priorities shift, agreed in discussion with the team.
Benefits
- Full ownership of the public voice of a well established child rights organisation.
- Close work with a content team on campaigns that reach schools, families and professionals.
- A wide role covering strategy, design, video and analytics, which builds a strong portfolio.
- Work that contributes directly to child protection and safety education in India.
