Bhumika Women's Collective is a non-profit organisation that works for the empowerment of women and young people. It works alongside communities in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh so that women and young people can grow in confidence, find their voice and build a better future for themselves. Learning practical skills is a big part of this, because the right skills can open the door to work and a steadier income. This role sits within Bhumika Women's Collective's Skill Development Centre, which runs training for people in Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Rampachodavaram.

Role

As a Spoken English Trainer, you will help trainees speak English with ease and confidence. You will run lively classes where people practise conversation, pronunciation and everyday communication, and you will keep track of how each person grows. Good spoken English can make a real difference when trainees go looking for work, so your teaching will directly support their next steps.

Responsibilities

• Conduct spoken English classes that cover basic English, conversation, pronunciation and everyday communication.
• Run interactive activities that give trainees plenty of chances to practise speaking and listening.
• Teach simple English grammar in a way trainees can use in daily conversation.
• Prepare lesson plans and learning materials that suit each group of trainees.
• Manage the classroom so that every trainee feels comfortable taking part.
• Assess trainees' progress regularly and support them in the areas where they need more help.
• Maintain clear and up-to-date training records for every batch.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree.
• Fluent spoken English, good communication skills and a sound knowledge of English grammar.
• Ability to teach basic English, conversation, pronunciation and communication skills.
• Good presentation and classroom management skills.
• Previous teaching or training experience is preferred.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Hyderabad, Vijayawada or Rampachodavaram, and not older than 40 years of age.
