Teach For India

Teach For India is working towards an India free of poverty, by ending educational inequity in the country. Fifteen years in, it is a movement of over 5,000 alumni working across the education system, reaching 1 in 10 children in India. These alumni come from its two year Fellowship Programme, where Fellows teach in under-resourced classrooms. Over 16,000 Teach For India students have taken their 10th grade board exams so far, with a 95% pass rate across cities.

TFIx is Teach For India's flagship incubator programme for education entrepreneurs, run under Teach For India's incubation initiatives. Through TFIx, Teach For India helps organisations design, build and grow contextualised teaching Fellowships that serve children in high-need communities, reaching far more children by building a movement of local leaders to work on the challenges of their own community. So far, TFIx has incubated 80 entrepreneurs, helped launch 57 Fellowships, and impacted over 600,000 children.

Role

TFIx is looking for education entrepreneurs ready to design, launch and grow their own contextualised teaching Fellowship model to reach more children in their region.

Requirements

• Must have, or have applied for, both 80G and 12A registrations
• Must have run an education programme on the ground for at least a year
• Must have at least two team members
• Must be working full-time with the organisation and actively involved on the ground
• Must be the founder or co-founder; if a team member, must have been with the organisation for at least three years
