ACT is a venture philanthropy fund that backs founders building innovative solutions to India's toughest problems. The team is growing with real ambition, and every Fellow's work shapes how ACT finds, evaluates, and supports the organisations it funds.

Role

The ACT Fellowship is a nine month, full-time programme for early to mid career professionals who want to learn what it takes to bring an investor's lens to philanthropy. Fellows work directly with the ACT team from day one, scouting promising founders, running due diligence, and supporting grantees after funding. It works like an apprenticeship. You learn by doing, on real problems, alongside people who do this for a living.

Responsibilities

• Research sectors and scout high-potential founders and organisations
• Conduct due diligence to support grant-making decisions
• Prepare materials and analysis for investment committee reviews
• Support ACT's existing portfolio of grantees on an ongoing basis
• Work closely with the ACT team across the full grant-making process

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
• At least 1 year of full-time work experience (up to 8 years considered)
• Indian resident citizen
• Based in, or willing to relocate to, Bangalore or Mumbai for the full programme (no relocation support provided)
• Prior experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, impact investing, early-stage startups, or the social sector is a plus, though people from all professional backgrounds are welcome
• Strong analytical and research skills, with attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
