The Pranava Institute

The Pranava Institute works with young people on issues of digital rights, governance, and policy. Supported by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, it brings together youth from across Asia to examine how technology is governed and to help design real solutions that work for young people. The Program This is a regional youth co-creation program that brings together young people aged 16 to 18 from India, Indonesia, Singapore, Cambodia, and Myanmar. As part of an Indian team, you will research a digital governance challenge, develop a policy argument, and produce a real deliverable, such as a think-piece, policy brief, video, or toolkit, that advocates for how technology should be governed. The winning team will be invited to present at a regional Youth Forum in October 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team of 4 to 5 young people from India on a digital governance challenge you care about
  • Research the issue and write a short think-piece analysing the problem
  • Develop a pitch arguing for your preferred solution or regulatory model
  • Participate in virtual sessions, collaborative research, and writing between July and September 2026
  • Work with a team coordinator and mentor from The Pranava Institute throughout the program

Requirements

  • Young people aged 16 to 18, based in India
  • Curious about digital rights, online safety, social media, or technology governance
  • Able to commit time to virtual engagement and collaborative work from July to September 2026
  • No prior knowledge of policy is needed as what matters most is your perspective, curiosity, and commitment
  • Young people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds and varied experiences with technology are especially encouraged to apply
