Role
A dedicated In-House Legal Counsel role designed to manage all legal and compliance matters, ensuring the business operates with total accuracy and strategic foresight.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and vet contracts, agreements, affidavits, and applications.
- Handle compliance-related work across corporate, real estate, and regulatory matters.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, hearings, and government offices.
- Prepare and file applications, petitions, and responses with accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate with senior advocates, external counsel, and consultants to ensure smooth handling of ongoing matters.
- Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations to keep management updated.
- Provide strategic legal advice to management on various transactions and disputes.
- Maintain organized legal records and case files for all ongoing business activities.
Requirements
- LL.B. degree (LL.M. preferred but not mandatory)
- Enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of India.
- 3+ years of experience in litigation, compliance, or corporate law (real estate exposure preferred).
- Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory processes, property laws, and commercial law.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with senior lawyers.
- Ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines independently.
- Candidate must be based in Goa and should be proficient in Konkani.
