WeLive Foundation



WeLive Foundation works with young people who grow up in orphanages and childcare institutions. When they turn 18, they must leave often without family support. WeLive Foundation walks alongside these young adults, called care leavers, to help them live independently and find their place in the world. Through residential and non-residential Bridge Programs, WeLive currently supports care leavers in Bengaluru and Chennai.
Role
WeLive Foundation is looking for a Program Coordinator who is organised, people-friendly, and passionate about supporting young care leavers. You will help run day-to-day program activities, manage records, coordinate with stakeholders, and keep things running smoothly across centers.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of both residential and non-residential Bridge Programs, including online and offline sessions
- Create and maintain documents that track program progress and youth participation
- Engage directly with young people to help them get the most out of the program
- Manage files and paperwork for enrolled youth and ensure all records meet compliance requirements
- Coordinate with government bodies, childcare institutions, partner organisations, and vendors across multiple cities and states
- Build and manage a pool of volunteers and facilitators who support program delivery
- Maintain the donor database and ensure donation receipts are issued on time
- Handle daily financial and administrative tasks across program centers
- Organise and set up internal and external meetings
- Travel within and across cities in India as required
Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline
- Prior experience working with an NGO is required
- Hands-on experience in documentation and stakeholder management
- Comfortable using MS Word and Excel for day-to-day work
- Strong communication skills: written and spoken
- Able to manage multiple tasks at once and work well in a team
- Empathetic, patient, and proactive in finding solutions
- Languages: English required; Kannada or Tamil preferred; Hindi an added advantage
