Role
eGov is an open-source digital public infrastructure organisation whose platforms, DIGIT and CARE, have reached 160 million+ citizens across 10+ countries. The Senior DevOps Engineer will be central to the global rollout of CARE, eGov's suite of digital health platforms. The role spans cloud and data centre infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and observability, working with technical and programme partners across India and international geographies.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes (Kubespray or OpenShift) clusters in private and public cloud environments.
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Plan and oversee data centre installations including servers, storage, networking, and cooling systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Set up and manage Prometheus, Grafana, and Kibana for monitoring and alerting.
- Manage Elasticsearch clusters and configure Kafka for real-time data streaming.
- Use Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to support deployments across environments.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of DevOps experience with expertise in Kubernetes or OpenShift deployment on private cloud or on-premise infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of container orchestration, IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with data centre components, virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), and monitoring software.
- Experience with OpenShift on private cloud is an advantage.
