Role
SNEHA is looking for a strategic and passionate Associate Director to lead fundraising, communications, and partnerships. You will identify new funding opportunities, build long-term donor relationships, oversee external communications, and work closely with program teams to align growth efforts with organisational goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the fundraising and business development strategy in line with SNEHA's goals
- Identify and research potential donors, CSR partners, foundations, HNIs, retail donors, and grant opportunities
- Manage the full donor journey from finding prospects and pitching to onboarding and long-term relationship management
- Write grant proposals, concept notes, and pitch decks that clearly communicate SNEHA's impact
- Organise events and forums to showcase SNEHA's work and engage prospective donors
- Identify volunteer and engagement opportunities to deepen donor relationships over time
- Design and execute SNEHA's brand-building and communications strategy
- Oversee all external communications including digital media, events, PR, and social media
- Work with program and communications teams to ensure proposals, reports, and donor requirements are submitted on time
- Manage and support the fundraising team
- Track prospect pipelines, engagement metrics, and report fundraising progress to leadership
- Stay updated on laws and regulations that may affect NGO funding
Requirements
- Post-graduate degree in any discipline; MBA preferred
- 8 to 10 years of experience in customer-facing roles such as sales, marketing, CRM, business development, public relations, or advertising
- Proven track record of building business and managing donor or client relationships
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Self-starter with good networking and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
- Fluency in English and Hindi; knowledge of a regional language is a plus
- Working knowledge of communications channels including social media and PR
- Familiarity with CRM platforms is an advantage and genuine interest in working in the social sector
