Role
Launch Girls needs a creative early-career professional to manage their social media, create content, and share field stories with the world.
Responsibilities
- Own social media channels and maintain consistent quality and tone
- Plan a monthly content calendar around programs, campaigns, and fundraising
- Create posts, reels, carousels, and stories across platforms
- Engage with the online audience and grow the digital community
- Collect photos, videos, quotes, and stories from field and program teams
- Turn on-ground work into simple, relatable content for online audiences
- Design newsletters, posters, decks, and other communication materials
- Support crowdfunding campaigns and key organizational moments
- Keep communication assets organized and up to date
- Track content performance and use insights to improve reach
- Follow social media trends and bring fresh ideas to the team
- Identify relevant media and platforms to pitch Launch Girls' stories
- Support visibility in networks, coalitions, and sector conversations
Requirements
- 0 to 2 years of experience in content, social media, communications, or a related field through internships, freelance, campus, or entry-level roles
- Degree in Communications, Media, Journalism, Social Sciences, or a related field
- Strong written English communication skills
- Hands-on experience with Instagram, LinkedIn, or similar platforms
- Working knowledge of Canva; Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Final Cut Pro is a plus
- Comfortable using Google Workspace and Drive
- Genuine interest in gender equity, social impact, and girls' empowerment
- Good eye for design, visual storytelling, and aesthetics
- Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with care
- Self-driven, reliable, and open to feedback and learning
