Grameen Foundation for Social Impact is on the lookout for a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join our team in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. About This Role
As a Data Analyst at Grameen Foundation, you'll be at the forefront of driving data-driven insights that can transform the agricultural sector. Your work will directly contribute to empowering farmers by providing them with the information and tools they need to improve their livelihoods. This role is crucial in ensuring that our efforts lead to tangible benefits for the communities we serve.
What We're Looking For
We’re seeking candidates who bring a solid educational background and relevant experience to the table. Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Agriculture, Economics, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics or an MBA in Agribusiness Management is a plus.
- Experience: We need someone with at least 1-3 years of experience in data analysis and research, preferably within the agricultural or rural development sectors. Experience with data collection, especially from farmers, rural women, and farmer groups, is essential.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel, SPSS, and STATA is important. Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI would be an added advantage.
- Analytical Abilities: We are looking for someone who can dissect complex data and deliver actionable insights that drive strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be responsible for several critical functions, including:
- Data Management: You’ll collect, process, and manage data from FPOs and individual farmers, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our data collection systems.
- Data Analysis: Your insights will help identify trends and patterns that inform our strategic decisions and program improvements.
- Reporting: You’ll prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, summarizing key findings and recommendations.
- Data Visualization: Creating intuitive dashboards and other visual tools will be a big part of your role, helping stakeholders make data-driven decisions.
- Collaboration: You’ll work closely with program teams, HQ staff, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
- Training and Capacity Building: You’ll train FPO members and farmers on data collection tools, ensuring they can contribute effectively to our data-driven initiatives.
- Innovation: We’re always looking for new ways to enhance our data collection and analysis processes, and you’ll play a key role in identifying and implementing these innovations.
