This role sits within the University's postgraduate teaching and research function, supporting the MA Development courses at the Ranchi campus.

Role

We invite applications for the role of Academic Associate in the MA Development programme. This role will contribute to the MA Development courses in the postgraduate programmes, engaging in course support, student mentorship, teaching material development, and independent or collaborative research under faculty guidance. This is a 2-year full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Engage with course-related literature and conduct literature searches on given topics
• Prepare summaries and short case studies for use in courses
• Conduct tutorials for students needing individualised support or review sessions for specific courses
• Prepare accessible teaching material, assist in field practice, and provide extra support to student projects outside class hours
• Identify reliable sources of quantitative data to compile graphs, tables, or infographics
• Mentor postgraduate students of MA Development and provide guidance on their projects and activities
• Engage in independent or collaborative research projects under the guidance of a faculty mentor

Requirements

• Master's degree in any discipline or related field
• Knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook)
• Interest in mentoring and engaging with a socially and academically diverse cohort of students
• Interest in mentoring and developing accessible teaching and learning materials
• Research interest in development domains to enhance own research capabilities
