Navjyoti India Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation set up in 1988 under the leadership of Dr. Kiran Bedi. It works to prevent crime by improving the lives of people in the communities it serves. Its programmes cover education, women's empowerment, skill training for young people, community development and the environment. This role sits within Navjyoti's accounts team, which keeps every project's money properly recorded and reports clearly to management and donors.

Role

As Accounts Executive, you will keep the project books in order at Navjyoti's site in Naya Gaon, near Bhondsi in Gurugram's Sohna Block. You will record daily transactions in Tally, keep statutory compliance on time, track project spending, and prepare clear reports for the management team and for donors. The role is based at the project site, with a visit to the Head Office in Karala, Delhi once a week or as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts and daily financial transactions in Tally, verifying all supporting bills, invoices, and vouchers.
• Handle bank transactions, prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS), process timely vendor payments, and track project spending against budgets.
• Manage statutory compliance, including TDS deduction/returns, PF, and ESI record-keeping.
• Prepare internal financial reports, MIS, and donor-related expense trackers while traveling weekly (or as needed) to the Karala, Delhi Head Office.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce (B.Com/M.Com).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in NGO project accounting, financial reporting, and donor compliance.
• Proficiency in Tally (cost centres, TDS, GST, journal/receipt entries) and MS Excel, paired with strong typing accuracy.
• Possession of a two-wheeler for field visits, readiness for immediate joining, and willingness to work on-site in Naya Gaon, Haryana (or relocate to Gurugram).
