NSRCEL is the startup and entrepreneurship centre at IIM Bangalore. It helps founders, incubators and the people who support them build strong businesses and social enterprises. Through training, mentoring and partnerships with government and institutions, NSRCEL works to grow a healthy startup ecosystem across India. Its programmes reach many states and regions and bring together faculty, experts and on-the-ground partners. This role sits within NSRCEL's capacity-building team, which trains incubation and entrepreneurship professionals and builds new programmes with partners of IIMB Innovations.

Role

NSRCEL is looking for an early-career professional who is very strong at getting things done and running smooth operations. You will help plan and fully own the delivery of large training and ecosystem programmes, starting with Incubator Manager Training and new capacity-building projects run with central and state government bodies. The role is built to grow you into a Program Manager who can lead complex programmes with many partners at a national scale. The role is based in Bengaluru, with travel across India as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of Incubator Manager Training and other programmes for incubation and entrepreneurship professionals.
• Coordinate new capacity-building programmes built with government, institutional, philanthropic and ecosystem partners.
• Manage multi-state and national projects, keeping faculty, experts, implementation partners and participants working together.
• Plan and run workshops, training sessions, convenings and field visits.
• Build and maintain trackers, timelines and budgets so every programme stays on schedule.
• Act as a trusted contact for senior government and institutional stakeholders.
• Spot problems early and solve them before they affect programme quality.
• Collect programme data and track progress against goals.
• Prepare clear reports and presentations for partners and internal teams.
• Set up internal systems that let programmes grow without losing quality.
• Support the design of new projects and help the team grow its work.

Requirements

• 1 to 4 years of experience in program management, consulting, operations, development sector work, startups, foundations, government programs, incubation, education or related fields
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail, able to bring structure to complex programs and manage multiple deadlines, stakeholders and moving parts at once
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior institutional stakeholders professionally
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets, presentations, trackers, budgets and program data
• Willing to travel across India for program implementation and stakeholder engagements
• Proactive and takes ownership, comfortable working in a fast changing environment where programs and systems are still being built
• Experience with government institutions, entrepreneurship programs, incubators, universities, consulting or large scale training programs is a plus, though not required
