Anugyalaya Darjeeling Diocese Social Service Society is the social wing of the Roman Catholic Diocese working in different parts of Darjeeling district in West Bengal. Their work spans community health, anti-trafficking, safe migration, education, HIV/AIDS care, disaster risk reduction, and natural resource management. Role

Work directly with children and communities in the Pulbazar Bijanbari Block to protect children's rights, prevent harm, and connect families and institutions with the support they need.

Responsibilities

• Identify children in vulnerable situations and provide them timely support and care
• Conduct community outreach and awareness activities on child rights and protection
• Build relationships with families, local leaders, schools, and government bodies to strengthen child safety networks
• Document cases, maintain records, and report findings to supervisors regularly
• Support children and caregivers through referrals, follow-ups, and on-ground coordination
• Travel regularly within the project area to reach communities and monitor child welfare

Requirements

• Graduate degree in any discipline; a background in Social Work or related fields is an advantage
• Minimum one year of experience in the development sector preferred
• Candidates from the Pulbazar Bijanbari Block area are strongly preferred
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the project area
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to child rights, child safety, and ethical, non-discriminatory practice
• Immediate joiners preferred
