Coal India Limited (CIL) is a Maharatna public sector undertaking under the Government of India and one of the largest coal producers in the world. Through its CSR initiatives, CIL works to support communities in its operational states across education, health, and livelihoods. NIRMAN is one such initiative, designed to support civil services aspirants from economically weaker backgrounds in CIL's operational states. NIRMAN 2026 NIRMAN 2026 is a CSR scheme by Coal India Limited that provides a one-time financial grant of ₹1,00,000 to candidates from CIL's operational states who have qualified the UPSC Civil Services or Indian Forest Service Preliminary Examination 2026. The grant is meant to support aspirants in preparing for the Mains examination, particularly those from low-income families who may not have easy access to coaching or resources.
Requirements
- Have qualified the UPSC CSE or IFoS Preliminary Examination 2026
- Are a permanent resident of Assam, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, - Maharashtra, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, or West Bengal
- Annual family income does not exceed ₹8,00,000 for financial year 2025 to 2026
- Are not an employee or ward of an employee of CIL or its subsidiaries
- Are not a permanent employee or probationer in Central or State Government, UT Administration, or any PSU
- Have not previously received benefits under NIRMAN 2024 or NIRMAN 2025
