Sol's ARC

Sol's ARC is a Mumbai-based NGO dedicated to inclusion and equity for individuals with special needs. For more than 20 years, it has worked to ensure that every child learns and every adult earns, partnering with governments, donors, and communities to bring systemic change and equity for individuals with disabilities through inclusive education and vocational skilling programs. At Sol's ARC, communication is how impact travels — to families, communities, donors, government partners, employers, and the public. As programs scale across geographies, this role supports the consistent, high-quality storytelling and digital visibility that strengthens trust, credibility, and inclusion narratives.

Role

A hands-on execution role supporting Sol's ARC's visibility, storytelling, and day-to-day communications across digital platforms, website, and key written collaterals. The Communications Executive will help translate field impact into clear, accessible, and credible communication that builds community, strengthens brand consistency, and supports partnerships — working closely with program teams to ensure real stories, real outcomes, and real voices are reflected in everything published.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute social media strategies to enhance Sol's ARC's presence across Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
• Create and schedule content (posts, stories, reels, etc.) and monitor channels to build community engagement
• Develop written content for presentations, speeches, news stories, web pages, and case stories
• Work with program teams to gather impact stories, quotes, photos, videos, and outcomes with inclusion-sensitive language
• Support routine website updates, coordinate with developers/designers, and flag broken links or outdated content
• Track and report social media and website performance (reach, engagement, clicks, growth) and share actionable insights
• Coordinate with departments to gather content inputs and ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and brand guidelines
• Support media coordination, background notes, program summaries, and spokesperson briefs as required

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in communications, social media, public relations, or digital communications
• Prior exposure to the social sector/inclusion/education/livelihoods preferred, not mandatory
• Strong writing skills across captions, blogs, and short/long-form content
• Video editing and Canva skills with a sharp design sense highly preferred
• Comfortable with social media scheduling workflows (Meta Business Suite)
• Basic understanding of website content updates (WordPress)
• Basic knowledge of Google Workspace and generative AI tools
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple deliverables independently
• Strong alignment with Sol's ARC's mission and genuine commitment to inclusion and dignity
