Teach For India works towards an India free of poverty and filled with love by ending educational inequity. Fifteen years in, it is a movement of over 5,000 Alumni working at every level of the education system, reaching 1 in 10 children across the country. These Alumni came through a two-year Fellowship in which they taught in under-resourced classrooms, putting around 33,500 low-income children on a different life path. Around 1,000 Fellows are teaching today, and more than 16,000 Teach For India students have sat the 10th grade board exams with a 95% pass rate across cities as of November 2024. In 2022 the organisation began Phase 4, a ten-year plan to grow 50,000 leaders who will transform the lives of 1 in 10 low-income children in its regions. This role sits within Teach For India's InnovatED team, the incubation program that supports alumni-led early-stage social entrepreneurs building scalable solutions for underserved students.
Role
This role sits within InnovatED, Teach For India's incubation program that supports alumni led social entrepreneurs building solutions for underserved students. As Consultant, Program Operations & Systems, you will run the day to day learning journey for the current cohort of founders, while also building and improving the systems, trackers, and processes behind the program. This is a full time consultant role running till the end of March 2027, and requires travel across India.
Responsibilities
- Plan and run learning sessions, workshops, bootcamps, and site visits
- Coordinate external experts, vendors, and partners for smooth programme delivery
- Design session guides, toolkits, and materials with the Program Manager and coaches
- Support entrepreneurs with follow ups, work time, and feedback after sessions
- Organise training materials and resources into one central place
- Build and maintain dashboards to track attendance, engagement, and milestones
- Set up systems to track payments alongside the finance team
- Design and analyse surveys to gather feedback and improve the programme
- Maintain clear communication between internal teams, coaches, experts, and founders
- Build relationships with experts and facilitators to bring them into the programme
Requirements
- 1 to 3+ years of experience in program operations, project management, or management consulting
- Skilled in building trackers and dashboards using tools like Google Sheets, Excel, Airtable, or Notion
- Strong negotiation, budgeting, and vendor management skills
- Able to balance big picture system design with hands on daily execution
- Experience working with a wide range of people and teams
- Comfortable with ambiguity, takes ownership, and shows initiative
- Two years of Teach For India Fellowship experience preferred but not required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
