Arpan
Arpan is an award-winning non-profit working to end Child Sexual Abuse in India. Based in Mumbai with a team of more than 134 professionals, it is India's largest non-profit offering prevention and intervention services for both children and adults. Its Personal Safety Education work reaches children and adolescents aged 4 to 18, teaching them to recognise unsafe situations and ask for help, and it trains teachers and parents to respond well. Arpan also uses research and advocacy to push for policy change at local, state and national levels, and has reached over 19.4 million children and adults since 2007, earning 8 national and 2 international awards. This role sits within Arpan's content and curriculum function, which creates the learning material every one of those programmes is built on.

Role
You will shape what Arpan teaches and how it is taught. The work covers pedagogic design, creation and publication of content for children, parents, teachers and institutions, across formats from printed books to digital media. Arpan is building its presence online, so this role carries the chance to take a proven classroom model into new digital spaces and into state and national curricula.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of educational content on child sexual abuse prevention and intervention.
- Translate field insights, program data, and sector research into effective content strategy.
- Develop multi-format materials for print, digital, and online platforms, targeting national and state curriculum integration.
- Represent Arpan on major external platforms and industry forums.
- Manage a team of professionals, overseeing parallel digital projects to meet organizational goals.
- Establish robust content vetting processes to maintain high quality while reducing creation turnaround times.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or Human Development.
- 8 to 10 years of social sector work experience, including curriculum design.
- Strong creative writing, communication, and multi-platform digital content skills.
- High analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and meticulous editing abilities.
- Proven ability to lead small teams, handle deadline pressure, and build long-term organizational processes.
- Based in (or willing to operate from) Mumbai.
