It shares Rotary's policies with local leaders, manages contributions received from India, and handles legal and financial reporting for the region.
Role
As Coordinator CSR, you will guide CSR projects from proposal to payment. You will check that each club and project meets CSR rules and Rotary Foundation policies, finalise agreements with corporate donors, make sure contributions are recorded correctly, and help approved grants reach the clubs doing the work. You will be the link between companies, Rotary clubs and districts, and the internal finance and grants teams, reporting to the Team Lead CSR.
Responsibilities
- Review grant proposals from companies and Rotary clubs or districts, checking relevance, community need, budget, measurable results, sustainability and fit with CSR rules and Rotary Foundation (India) policies.
- Approve CSR India grant applications only once all compliance papers and supporting documents are complete.
- Check agreements between companies, the Rotary Foundation (India) and implementing clubs, including three-way agreements, before they go for signature.
- Work with donors, clubs and districts to finalise MOUs and legal agreements in line with current guidelines.
- Coordinate with the Financial Services team to record corporate contributions accurately and release approved grant payments on time.
- Keep all legal, financial and programme records complete and ready for audit.
- Follow up with clubs and districts to collect pending documents and resolve issues holding up approval, including overdue reports flagged by the grants team.
- Prepare presentations for donors showing Rotary Foundation (India) projects and experience, and present at regional, zonal, district and club events.
- Help Rotary leaders at zonal, regional and district level understand Foundation programmes, especially CSR projects.
- Answer CSR grant questions from Rotarians and coordinate between headquarters staff and project contacts.
- Share regular updates with corporate donors on the grants they fund, and keep CSR data current for analysis and team reporting.
- Help produce CSR materials such as the newsletter, annual report, website content and brochure.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree. A qualification in social work, CSR or a related field is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in a non-profit organisation or a related field.
- Hands-on experience handling CSR projects and good knowledge of Section 135 of the Companies Act.
- Good knowledge of managing corporate contracts and agreements.
- Fluency in English and one other Indian language, preferably Hindi.
- Strong spoken and written communication, including public speaking.
- Skill with MS Office, especially Word and Excel, and Oracle.
- Careful record keeping and strong attention to detail.
- Able to work well in a team and on your own, and to handle heavy workloads in busy periods.
- Adaptable, ethical and caring in how you work with others, Clear thinking and problem solving.
- Willingness to travel.
