Role

As a Counsellor, you will provide psychosocial support to patients and caregivers affected by cancer and other chronic medical conditions. You will conduct counselling sessions, coordinate patient services, maintain documentation and work closely with hospitals and healthcare providers to improve patient wellbeing and access to care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group counselling sessions for patients and caregivers.
• Provide emotional, psychological and socio-economic support.
• Raise awareness about government health and social security schemes.
• Maintain case records, patient documentation and reports.
• Coordinate with hospitals, clinicians, and healthcare providers.
• Support patients in navigating treatment and healthcare services.
• Build partnerships with hospitals and healthcare institutions.
• Empower patients and caregivers through counselling and education.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology or Clinical Psychology.
• 0–1 year of counselling or mental health experience.
• Experience in public health is an advantage.
• Strong counselling, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Good documentation and reporting abilities.
• Proficiency in English and the local language.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% within and outside the state.
