Role
Jhpiego is hiring a Data Assistant based at NHM Jaipur, Rajasthan. This full-time role will support the Senior Program Officer by strengthening data systems for decision-making under a multi-state maternal and newborn health programme. The position focuses on data collection, database management, reporting and analysis to improve programme quality and health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the collection of programme data from health facilities, districts and programme teams.
- Review incoming datasets for completeness, consistency and accuracy.
- Conduct periodic data validation and prepare data quality reports.
- Develop, manage and maintain programme databases.
- Design and maintain data management tools using MS Excel, MS Access and other platforms.
- Work with programme and field teams to resolve data discrepancies and improve data quality.
- Monitor programme indicators and generate regular reports and performance updates.
- Support the preparation of programme reports, dashboards, activity trackers and factsheets.
- Assist with additional programme and data-related tasks assigned by the Senior Program Officer.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, Economics or a related field.
- 3–4 yr of experience in health data analysis or programme monitoring.
- Experience with NHM data systems is preferred.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and dashboard creation.
- Experience with databases and basic analytics tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and data quality management.
- Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
