This role sits within MAMTA-HIMC's community health project in Telangana, which raises awareness on menstrual, reproductive and adolescent health and supports people through screening, referral and follow-up.

Role

As a Field Assistant in Shabad and Chevella blocks of Ranga Reddy district, you will be the link between village families and the health services around them. You will report to the Field Supervisor and keep careful records of every visit, referral and follow-up.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with ASHAs, ANMs and Anganwadi Workers to make referrals and help more people use the health services available to them.
  • Run awareness sessions, group sessions and campaigns in communities and schools, and bring people together for screenings, health camps and special-day events.
  • Help beneficiaries access government health facilities, welfare schemes and other health services.
  • Keep accurate records of screenings, referrals, follow-ups and sessions, and complete data entry on time.
  • Share regular updates and reports with the Field Supervisor, raise field challenges early, and help document project learnings and success stories.

Requirements

  • You have passed Class 12 at minimum, and a graduate degree is preferred.
  • You ideally have 4-5 years of experience in the development or public health sector, including community mobilization, data collection, beneficiary follow-up, counselling, field coordination and reporting.
  • You speak and write Telugu and Hindi fluently, and working knowledge of English is an advantage.
  • Basic computer skills are an added advantage.
  • You live in Telangana, ideally in Shabad or Chevella Block of Ranga Reddy district, or you know the local area well.
  • You are willing to make regular field visits and household visits and take part in community activities.
  • You work well with communities, frontline workers, local leaders and project teams.
  • Women candidates are preferred and encouraged to apply.

Benefits
