Field Motivator – Nutrition Program in Tehri Garhwal | Himmotthan Society
Himmotthan Society
Himmotthan Society is an initiative of Tata Trusts working across the hill districts of Uttarakhand. It works with rural communities on health, nutrition, water, livelihoods and village institutions, and it works alongside government departments rather than apart from them. Much of its work happens in villages that are hard to reach, where families have limited access to services and information. Its nutrition work focuses on the people whose health shapes a whole generation: pregnant women, mothers who are feeding babies, adolescent girls and young children. This role sits within Himmotthan's nutrition program, which is improving the Take Home Ration provided under the state's ICDS scheme so that families both receive it and use it well.

Role
This role supports grassroots implementation of a nutrition programme across villages in Bhilangna and Lamgara blocks. The Field Motivator will work directly with pregnant women, mothers, and caregivers to promote better nutrition practices and encourage the use of Take Home Ration. It involves regular visits to Anganwadi Centres, close coordination with frontline health workers, and extensive travel in hilly terrain. This is a field heavy, community facing role suited to someone who enjoys grassroots work in remote areas. It is a contractual position with 20 openings across the two blocks.
