Need Base India

Need Base India is a non-profit organisation working on child welfare, education and road safety awareness. Its work reaches people where they already are, in neighbourhoods, schools, colleges and public spaces, with simple messages that change everyday habits. Together with United Way Delhi, the organisation is running a Road Safety Awareness Program in Bengaluru to encourage responsible road use and safer travel for everyone. The programme uses a mobile awareness van to bring these sessions directly to the public.

Role

As a Field Trainer you will be the face of the Road Safety Awareness Program on the ground in Bengaluru. You will travel with the awareness van, speak to people at malls, colleges, traffic signals and other public places, and help them understand helmet safety, seat belt use, tyre safety and safe road behaviour. The work suits someone confident, warm and comfortable speaking to a crowd in Kannada and English.

Responsibilities

• Travel with the organization’s Road Safety Awareness Van to malls, traffic signals, colleges, and other public locations.
• Conduct public awareness sessions on essential road safety practices, including: Helmet Safety, Seat Belt Usage, Tyre Safety & Responsible Road Behavior.
• Engage with the public through effective communication, presentations, and awareness activities.
• Support crowd mobilization and public engagement during awareness campaigns.
• Facilitate QR code-based registrations and maintain accurate participation records.
• Represent Need Base India professionally and promote the objectives of the Road Safety Awareness Program.
• Coordinate with the project team to ensure smooth execution of field activities.

Requirements

• MSW or any graduate degree
• Fluency in Kannada and English is mandatory
• Strong public speaking, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to confidently engage with diverse groups and mobilize crowds
• Freshers with strong communication and public engagement skills are welcome
• A two-wheeler is preferred
• Enthusiastic, responsible, adaptable, and committed to road safety awareness

Benefits

• Monthly salary of ₹35,000 with a travel allowance of ₹5,000, a total monthly compensation of ₹40,000.
