NFI partners with hospitals to fund life saving care in NICUs, supports families through their hardest days, and works to make timely newborn care accessible in communities that need it most. The organization has built a network of hospital partnerships across many districts in India and continues to expand its reach to save more newborn lives.
Role
The General Manager (GM) is a senior leadership role responsible for strategic and operational oversight across NFI's core functions, including programs, institutional growth, donor engagement, operations, governance, and team leadership. This is an opportunity to shape the operational and institutional growth of a mission driven organization at an important stage of expansion.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational oversight across programs, donor engagement, operations, and governance
- Work closely with functional teams, external partners, consultants, and leadership to ensure effective execution
- Drive cross-functional coordination between teams, partners, and consultants
- Strengthen systems and processes to support organizational growth
- Build and lead a collaborative, accountable work culture
- Support execution and alignment with NFI's strategic priorities
Requirements
- 12 to 15 years of experience in the NPO sector
- Any postgraduate degree
- A wide view of the social sector, with the ability to unlearn, learn, and collaborate
- Ability to navigate with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to handle and motivate a young team to scale the mission
