iTeach Schools was founded in 2015 to challenge the deep gap in school education quality between low-income and high-income communities in India. The organisation runs free, high-impact schools and a college-to-career programme for students from the most disadvantaged backgrounds in Pune and Navi Mumbai. iTeach is known for its strong teacher development, result-oriented team culture, and student-centred school design.

Role

Build and manage relationships between iTeach Schools and government bodies, political representatives, and community stakeholders. This role also covers compliance, policy tracking, and systemic advocacy to ensure iTeach schools can operate smoothly and students can access all available government benefits.

Responsibilities

• Identify, build, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including municipal corporations, education departments, Zilla Parishad, state government, SSC board, and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan officials
• Engage with political representatives including corporators, local leaders, and community influencers
• Serve as the central point of contact between iTeach Schools and all external government and community stakeholders
• Support school leaders, social workers, and admin staff in building their own stakeholder relationships
• Resolve issues between government bodies and iTeach Schools
• Track government policy and procedure changes and update relevant teams
• Obtain all necessary permissions and compliance approvals for schools from relevant departments
• Set up management information systems and support regular data review across schools
• Work with school social workers to set up, train, and manage School Management Committees
• Build advocacy at the government level by collaborating with other NGOs in the city
• Identify and connect students with scholarships and government benefits

Requirements

• Graduate or above with a major in Social Work
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the social sector
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and typing in Marathi and English is mandatory
• Prior experience working with government bodies is preferred
• Willing and able to travel within Navi Mumbai and Panvel
