The organization runs free, high impact schools and a college to career program in Pune and Navi Mumbai, giving disadvantaged students the same chance at a good education and future as their more privileged peers.

Role

This role is the key link between iTeach Schools and government stakeholders. The Government Partnerships Associate builds relationships with education officials and local leaders, ensures schools meet compliance requirements, and helps set up strong systems and reporting within schools.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with government and education department officials
• Connect with political representatives, local leaders, and community influencers
• Act as the main point of contact between iTeach Schools and external stakeholders
• Support school leaders, social workers, and admin staff in managing stakeholder relationships
• Resolve issues between government bodies and iTeach Schools
• Track changes in government policy and share updates with the team
• Secure necessary permissions and compliances for schools
• Set up and strengthen MIS, reporting, and data review systems in schools
• Support social workers in setting up and training School Management Committees
• Build advocacy at the government level alongside other NGOs
• Help students access scholarships and government benefits

Requirements

• Graduate degree, preferably in Social Work
• At least 2 years of experience in the social sector
• Fluent in reading, writing, and typing in Marathi and English
• Prior experience working with government departments preferred
• Willing to travel within Navi Mumbai and Panvel
• Strong relationship building and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve conflicts
