In Jharkhand it runs the Lahanti Institute of Multiple Skills (LIMS), which trains tribal and rural youth, especially women, in skills that employers need. LIMS mixes classroom training, hands-on learning and partnerships with local groups so that people can find lasting work and support their families. Its focus on quality, inclusion and new ideas helps rural workers across India reach their potential. This role sits within ESAF Foundation's LIMS programme in Dumka, which brings health services and health training to rural and tribal communities through Mobile Medical Units.

Role

As Healthcare Training Coordinator, you will keep Mobile Medical Units running well and make sure health reaches the villages that need it most. You will lead health awareness campaigns, train health workers and community members, and work with NGOs, local officials and hospitals so that care and health education reach people on time.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of Mobile Medical Units and their outreach visits
  • Manage fleet and logistics so units reach communities on schedule
  • Plan and run health awareness campaigns and community outreach camps
  • Deliver healthcare training sessions and supervise sessions run by others
  • Develop training modules and health education (IEC) materials suited to local communities
  • Mobilise communities to take part in health camps and awareness sessions
  • Manage budgets and staff for the programme
  • Verify data, track activities through online monitoring and maintain MIS records
  • Prepare documentation and reports, including reports for government partners
  • Liaise with NGOs, local authorities and healthcare institutions

Requirements

  • A Master of Public Health (MPH), Master of Health Administration (MHA), Master of Social Work or Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development (PGDRD) from a recognised university is preferred
  • Certification in community health or public health programmes is a plus
  • At least 2 years of experience in healthcare training, community health programmes or skill development work
  • Hands-on experience operating or supporting Mobile Medical Units
  • Experience running health awareness programmes and outreach camps
  • Past work with NGOs, CSR or government health projects is preferred
  • Basic healthcare knowledge and practical skills in preparing and delivering training
  • Skill in handling budgets, staff and government reporting
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, documentation, reporting and basic MIS
  • Clear communication in Hindi and the local language
  • Speaking Santali is a strong advantage for community outreach and health education sessions
  • Willingness to travel often and work in rural areas
  • An empathetic, patient-focused and community-minded approach
  • Strong leadership, coordination and discipline
