Role
As an HR Associate, your role is to lead key HR initiatives while supporting the organization's mission. You will be responsible for talent acquisition, employee engagement, learning and development and ensuring compliance with HR policies, working closely with leadership to cultivate a thriving work environment that fosters growth and inclusivity.
Responsibilities
- Manage employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, offboarding, and maintaining employee records
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
- Oversee the payroll process, leave management, and employee benefits, using HRMS (Keka)
- Lead recruitment efforts by sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new hires
- Collaborate with department heads to forecast staffing needs and plan hiring accordingly
- Design and implement employee engagement programs, including check-ins and pulse surveys
- Develop and implement the Learning and Development plan, coordinating training sessions and workshops
- Facilitate the performance review cycle, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, and annual appraisals
- Track key HR metrics such as attrition, headcount, time-to-fill, and employee satisfaction
- Prepare HR reports for leadership and provide insights for decision-making
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in HR generalist roles
- Prior experience in a non-profit organization desirable
- Experience managing teams and leading HR projects
- Strong understanding of HR policies, labor laws, and best practices
- Proficiency in HRMS, specifically KEKA, and payroll systems
- Knowledge of talent management, recruitment strategies, and learning & development programs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong organizational, multitasking, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
