Its work covers watershed development, care of land and water, sustainable farming, livelihoods, women's empowerment and building strong local institutions. WOTR works hand in hand with communities, government agencies, research institutions, civil society groups and private partners. Over three decades it has run large programmes that help farmers adapt to climate change and earn a steadier living. This role sits within WOTR's Human Resources team, which hires, onboards and supports the people who carry out this work.

Role
As a Junior Executive in Human Resources, you will support the daily running of HR at WOTR's office on Pune Satara Road, Pune. You will help bring new people into the organisation, from posting a job to their first day, and keep employee records accurate and up to date. You will work closely with candidates, new employees, reporting managers and internal teams so that everyone has a smooth experience. You will report to the HR Manager or Senior HR Specialist. This is a full-time, on-site role.
Responsibilities
- Support the full hiring process for different roles, working with hiring managers on job needs and shortlisting.
- Post job openings on suitable platforms and keep recruitment trackers and candidate records up to date.
- Screen resumes and schedule interviews with shortlisted candidates.
- Communicate with candidates about interview dates, selection and joining steps.
- Coordinate pre-joining and joining steps for new employees, including collecting and checking their documents.
- Work with other teams to set up email IDs, system access, workstations and other joining needs.
- Complete onboarding checklists and HR paperwork on time.
- Arrange employee ID cards, keep ID card records, and send welcome emails introducing new employees.
- Maintain employee records, HR trackers and databases, and answer routine employee questions.
- Support performance reviews, training, induction and employee engagement activities.
- Help with daily admin work, office needs, and arrangements for meetings, trainings and staff events.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- An MBA or PGDM in HR is an added advantage.
- 0-2 years of experience in HR, recruitment or HR operations.
- Freshers can apply, especially those with an HR internship.
- Good communication skills for speaking with candidates, employees and managers.
- Strong coordination skills to work across several teams at once.
- Well organised, with care for accurate records and documents.
- Proactive in following up on tasks and meeting timelines.
- Able to keep trackers, databases and HR files neat and current.
- Able to work on-site at the Pune Satara Road office in Pune.
