Bhumi

Bhumi is one of India's largest independent youth volunteer organisations. It brings together young volunteers to work with children who have the least access to good learning, including children living in shelter homes. Its education work focuses on the everyday basics that decide a child's future: reading and speaking English, understanding Maths, and getting curious about science and technology. Volunteers are the heart of the model, so growing and keeping them is as important as the lessons themselves.

Role

The Education Programme Lead runs Bhumi's education work in shelter homes under the Bhumi Clubs initiative. You will hold two things at once: the quality of what children actually learn, and the strength of the volunteer community that delivers it. The work asks for steady planning, close attention to what is happening on the ground, and the ability to help volunteers grow into leaders who take ownership of their own centres.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality education programs in shelter homes through structured, well-implemented interventions
• Improve learning outcomes for students in shelters in English, Maths, and STEM
• Build volunteer retention and develop volunteer leadership to strengthen ownership of the program
• Manage day to day program operations, track milestones, and meet program goals on time

Requirements

-Bachelor's or Master's degree in any relevant field, or a fellowship

• Minimum 2 years of volunteering experience and community engagement
• Strong ability to lead and motivate volunteers
• Good understanding of how to plan and run education programs
• Strong communication and people skills
• Ability to track progress and manage timelines independently
• The selection process has three rounds of interview.
