Bhumi

Bhumi was founded on August 15, 2006, by a group of friends who believed every underprivileged child deserves quality education. It has since grown into one of India's largest youth volunteering movements, channelling the energy of young volunteers into direct, structured educational and community work with underserved children. Bhumi's core belief is that education, delivered consistently and with care, is the strongest lever against poverty. Its model runs on volunteer-led engagement: young people give their time to teach, mentor, and support children both inside low-income schools and beyond them, in shelter homes and communities, turning volunteering into a long-term pathway toward "an educated, poverty-free India."
