Role
The Manager – Donor Relations Management will play a crucial role in strengthening and expanding strategic partnerships with corporates, CSR foundations, philanthropic institutions, and other relevant stakeholders to support BJS's mission and programmes. The role combines strategic engagement, relationship management, proposal development, impact communication, and effective coordination across functions to drive resource mobilization and deepen partner engagement.
Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and engage potential partners whose priorities align with BJS's mission and programmes
- Support development of tailored engagement strategies for prospective donors
- Assist in developing high-quality concept notes, proposals, partnership decks, and budgets
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with existing and prospective donor partners
- Coordinate meetings, presentations, and follow-up conversations with stakeholders
- Work with programme teams to capture impact data, success stories, and case studies for donor reporting
- Prepare high-quality, timely donor reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) as per agreed formats
- Ensure compliance with donor agreements, MoUs, and CSR reporting requirements
- Track grant milestones, deliverables, and utilisation schedules to avoid delays and non-compliance
- Maintain and regularly update donor databases, CRM systems, and grant trackers
- Serve as a bridge between partners, programme, and finance teams to ensure execution of donor commitments
Requirements
- Master's degree in Development Studies, Social Work, Management, or a related field
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in donor management, CSR partnerships, grant management, or institutional fundraising in the non-profit sector
- Understanding of CSR compliance frameworks and grant management processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Hindi; working knowledge of Marathi a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (grant tracking, utilisation analysis) and PowerPoint (donor presentations)
- Ability to manage multiple donor accounts simultaneously with structured planning
- High level of integrity, empathy, and alignment with service-oriented values
