The/Nudge is an action institute working to build resilient livelihoods and reduce poverty across India. It works with women, farmers, tribal communities, and youth on rural development, agriculture, skilling, and economic inclusion, partnering with over 15 central and state governments. Its economic inclusion work spans 10 states and reaches over 1.5 million people, with a goal of reaching 25 million Indians. Through its incubator and accelerator programs, The/Nudge has supported over 200 social entrepreneurs, including Forbes 30 Under 30 honorees and Earthshot Prize winners.

Role

This hands-on role sits at the intersection of product thinking, field research, and execution. The Manager will design and run pilots within the Economic Inclusion Program, from framing the hypothesis and research approach to working with Operations teams on the ground to implement and improve programs. This role suits someone from a management consulting or startup background who has experience launching new initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own end to end pilot design, including defining the problem, hypothesis, intervention, and success metrics
• Conduct field research and stakeholder interviews to understand ground realities
• Work closely with the Operations team to plan and run pilots across program states
• Turn field learnings into clear insights and quickly improve program design
• Partner with Operations, Impact, and Strategy teams to bring pilot evidence into program decisions
• Build frameworks and playbooks that help successful pilots scale
• Clearly communicate findings to internal leadership and external stakeholders

Requirements

• 7 to 10 years of experience in management consulting, product management, or new initiatives at a startup
• Strong structured thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design rigorous pilots for ambiguous problems
• Comfortable with both quantitative and qualitative research methods; familiarity with SQL, Excel, or similar tools is a plus
• Willing and enthusiastic to spend significant time in rural field settings with participants and frontline staff
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across Operations, Impact, and Leadership teams
• Able to move fast, learn from setbacks, and iterate without losing rigor
• Strong commitment to solving large-scale social problems
• Fluent in written and spoken Hindi and English
